Tauari, también conocido como roble brasileño, es comparable al roble rojo norteamericano, pero un 13% más duro. Sus colores van desde el blanquecino hasta el marrón medio, con un patrón de veta media y poco brillo. La madera de Tauari proporciona el color "trigo" tan buscado asociado con el roble nacional.
